{Project 356} March 8

Patti and I needed some displays built for our show in March and I volunteered Chris' woodworking skills! He was more than happy to help us out. When they are complete I will be sure to post more pics!

Ryley made the Varsity Lacrosse team at Colonial Forge and had his first scrimmage. He did very well and the Eagles won both of their scrimmages! Go Forge!

I got a phone call from The Bowen Group (one of the companies I do free-lance work for) letting me know that the folder, CD/sleeve have been delivered (it was a project for the Marine Corps) I am so happy with the results! It's quite a rush seeing all that hard come come to fruition!

I love it when the man in brown comes to the door and leaves boxes of scrapbook products! Today we received a delivery from Scenic Route, filled with paper to create more "Coupon Book" kits for our show in a few weeks. Jim at Scenic Route was most appreciative when we alerted him the day we ordered that their online ordering wasn't working properly and he sent Patti and I a few extra goodies in our box! We love Scenic Route!

{Project 356} March 4

You know that commercial for a credit card company that has the slogan "What's in your wallet?"? I thought I would change it up a bit and ask "What's on your fridge?"

Long gone are the days of when magnetic alphabet letters and finger paint works of art hung on the front of the refrigerator. I took a picture of the front of my fridge and realized that I don't keep it very tidy! Read on:

{Project 356} March 3

I had to go to the commissary today because we were down to just about bread and water. Many of my friends know are familiar with the process I go through before I venture out to the grocery store: I plan two weeks of dinners, make a grocery list, clip coupons, filter out expired coupons and make sure my re-useable shopping bags are in the car. The other thing I do is clean out the fridge of science experiments and anything else that needs to be tossed. I hate coming home from a grocery trip and not being able to put the groceries away in clean fridge! Anyways, I thought I would push the whole "going green thing" and take a pic of recyclable containers and packaging that came from the "purge" (the empty plastic bottles are from collection that Ryley has been building up in the workout room). Thank goodness recycling pick up is tomorrow!

Some other news....

...today Patti and I found out that the crop at Salem Baptist Church is sold out! We are so excited! If you were unable to register, you are still able to stop by to shop! Remember, we will have a bunch of new kits to unveil!

Also, remember in an earlier post I mentioned that I wrote to Clara Wallace after her husband stopped in at our crop the other weekend? Well, she responded with a very sweet letter. She mentioned that she designs a digi-kit once in a while and as well as some product for Creative Memories. But her latest endeavor creating re-usable, eco-friendly bags. Love them! {Project 356} March 2

SNOW DAY! We haven't seen this much snow in Virginia in several years! Of course school was cancelled and Ryley enjoyed his day off. Chris was hoping that the federal government closed down, but to his disappointment, it wasn't (he has a bad case of spring fever) I took this pics as the sun was just starting to come up.

{Project 356} March 1

I was busy in the kitchen and busy in the studio today. I created these adorable gift tins for the crop March 20-21. Patti and I decided to have two different themes–one for guys and one for gals. As you can tell, I did the masculine ones. I love them! We think they are going to be a big hit at the show!

Being creative worked up an appetite (and a sweet tooth) so I made some chocolate chip cookies. Chris likes dark chocolate, so I decided to try the recipe with dark chocolate chips. They were 

de-lish!

My New Tech Toy!

I am so excited! I got an iPhone today! I LOVE THIS PHONE! Believe it or not, it cost me less than $65! It turns out that Best Buy was having a $99 special on the phone for Silver Premier Rewards Members. It just so happened that I had 2 $20 reward certificates that I applied to the phone as well! I think I got a good deal! 

After playing with it for a while, I wanted to download a photo, just to walk through the steps. Then I remembered an article I read in Digital Scrapbook Magazine about creating mini-pages to put on digital devices. It turns out that the aspect ration of the iPhone screen is the same as a 4x6 photo. I quickly created this mini layout of my sister and I last summer. I transferred it to my phone and it fits perfectly! Here is the jpg of what I did:
