...but I am still here! It's been almost 6 months since my last post and I feel so guilty for not keeping up with September Blue! Especially after all the wonderful support I received from all those who participated in the "Art of Digital Design" and "Scrap, Scrap, Scrap" Blog Hops! Personal circumstances (all good) kept me from being able to devote the time and effort to creating digital products. However, things are starting to calm down a bit and I will soon be in a position where I can give my full attention to digital designing, photography and blogging! I can't wait!
Still, things are a bit crazy in the Sill household:
We have been in prime "moving mode" for several months now-getting ready for a 3 year tour overseas.
We got a new puppy–a Yorkie named Zoe. It's just like having a new baby, but I absolutely adore her.
Lacrosse season has had our weeks filled with games, concession stands, stat keeping, team dinners and photographing the games.
We are prepping ourselves for "empty nest syndrome," as our youngest son is about to graduate from high school (which is one of the reasons why we got the puppy...hehehe).
However, the last two "crazies" listed above have enabled me to do a little designing and I want to share with you what I did!
This is the invitation to Ryley's graduation open house I am going to include in his graduation announcements. His senior photos were taken at Wen McNally Photography (she ROCKS) and the faded photo in the background was one that I took during a lacrosse game. The invite itself measures 5x7, the large photo is 3.5x5 and the smaller photo is about 1.5x2.25. Fonts used are Tiza and Blair. I LOVE this idea because not only is intended to be an invitation, the recipient can also trim the large and small photo from the invitation and place the large picture in a frame or carry the smaller one in a wallet. Pretty cool, huh?
And then there is lacrosse. I can't even begin to express how much I have enjoyed watching and photographing Ryley play lacrosse over the past 4 years. After each game I would come home and right away download the pics onto my laptop. The two of us would then go through them one by one. I loved to see him get excited over the "perfect shot" and he would immediately copy them to his computer so he can upload them to his Facebook page. I am going to miss that (sniff, sniff)! Okay, enough...last night was Senior Night at their last home game of the season. For the second year in a row, I photographed the graduating seniors on the team and made 20x30 posters for them. I wanted these to really be something special since one of those seniors were mine! Below are the fruits of my labor:
Wow! It sure feels good to be back! Thanks for reading!
