Things got really busy with Dustin, Ryley and Becca here for the holidays. Although I was taking pictures everyday, I fell a little behind in creating my December Daily pages. The kids are gone now, the decorations are packed and put away, the house is quiet and I've had some time to finish up my album. This is such a personal accomplishment for me since it has been a VERY long time since I have completed an album! My album doesn't stop on Christmas Day. I continued it through December 31st. I will post separate December Daily entries for December 22nd-25th. However, from the 26th-31st I will do one big post (with daily pictures, of course). So on to December 22nd...
It was Dustin and Becca's first full day in Riga, and it was my duty to help them get over jet lag. They needed to stay awake and that meant getting them out of the house. We met Robyn and her daughter, Danielle, at The Flying Frog for lunch. Dustin and Ryley enjoyed burgers while the ladies had fresh salads and hot balzams (they have good hot balzams). It was nice to get the kids together with someone their own age! After lunch, it was time to walk.
It wasn't the best of walking conditions, but I wanted to show Dustin and Becca around Old Town a little bit. We were walking through "Lock Bridge Park" (I am not sure the correct name of the park) when we came across an ice sculpture exhibition. They were pretty amazing! I took photos of almost all of them and made a layout of some of my favorites. I love the photo of Dustin & Becca in the ice chair. There was a cushion on it to keep their back sides warm! By the time we left the exhibition, it was getting dark and decided to head back home instead of going into Old Town.

I printed out a 6x8 photo of Dustin & Becca (above) on the ice chair, punched holes in it and placed it in the book after the plastic divider.
