Since Monday life in the Sill household has been-for lack of a better word-CRAZY. If you have read my "About Me" page you know that I am a Marine Corps wife and my husband and I are living in Riga, Latvia where he is assigned to the U.S. Embassy. To make a long story short, due to some unfortunate circumstances, the landlord from whom the embassy was renting the home sold the house and had to break the lease, forcing us to move to a flat in the city. Although we are only moving 3 miles, it has taken 3 days, 3 truckloads and 6-7 guys each day to make this move happen! The new location is GREAT! I will share photos of our new neighborhood in the days to come!
Of course during the transition the internet service had to be transferred and I was without it for what seemed like FOREVER, but in reality it was only 24-36 hours. So Tuesday afternoon, I was a happy camper knowing I had connection to the outside world again. But alas, that was not to last. I lost the connection again, just before going to bed Tuesday night. It happened while I was checking Facebook and noticed I was tagged in a post by a friend in a private digital scrapbook group I am part of. The post said something about Becky liking my recipe cards. What a rush of adrenaline! I was literally bouncing on the bed, saying "OMG! OMG!" Chris didn't know what was going on and thought something was wrong. I told him Becky liked my recipe cards. And in true male fashion he says "Who's Becky?" Seriously? Does he not know what I do-my studio is filled with Project Life product, her books & magazines and I have PL paper as a wallpaper on my computer. Who's Becky? I thought I taught him better than that! Gotta love him ;) The connection kept going in and out. ACCKKK! It was almost midnight and there is nothing like having awesome news come your way and not be able to respond to it immediately!!! During one of the moments where I had a connection I was able to check out what everyone was talking about and there it was, on Becky's Facebook page:
Wow! STUNNED!!!
Then I realized a "mistake" on my part. Okay, maybe not a "mistake" as much as an "oversight." The link Lisa gave to Becky was one to the final day of product previews I was doing before my shoppe "Blueprints" went live. I was running a contest for those who left a comment at the end of the post and entering their names in a drawing to win one of the recipe kits. The contest ended Friday, September 14. But I never closed the comments to the contest! Silly me! So when Becky posted the link from her Facebook page to my blog, enthusiastic readers were leaving comments to enter the contest! Soooooo, in light of all the excitement I am going to do ANOTHER giveaway! Whoop, Whoop! Any new comments on THIS post OR on this one: {Love} My Organized Recipes will be entered in a giveaway where you will have the choice of either the 8.5x11 or the 12x12 kit! How does that sound?
If I could, I would give Becky and her reader/customer Lisa the biggest hugs right now! The positive response that her post generated has been overwhelming and such a blessing. I have been following Becky's career ever since she started with Creating Keepsakes and she is truly an inspiration! Thank you Becky for all you do!
Don't forget, leave a comment and be entered into another {Love} My Organized Recipes giveaway! Winner will be announced Friday, September 28th! I am slowly reading through reader emails, trying to answer questions and unpacking boxes at the same time. I thank you all for your patience and will respond to them as soon as I can!
