BUT WAIT! There's more! Everyone one is getting a freebie today! With all the excitment that Becky's shout out gave September Blue I though it would be fun to share one of my favorite recipes using the {Love} My Organized Recipes Kit: Strawberry Surprise Scones.
Story behind the recipe: I received this recipe from my sweet friend Abbie. Abbie and I met back in the late 90s while living in Monterey, California where our husbands were attending the Defense Language Institute. From there, both of our families moved to Garmisch, Germany where our DH's continued their training and we ended up living in the apartments right across the hall from each other. Many, many mornings, once our kids were off to school, Abbie and I would sit for hours in our robes (which, by the way were matching-they had coffee cups on them) sipping coffee and enjoying sweet treats like these Strawberry Surprise Scones. She is an awesome cook and I have a bunch of recipes from her! I miss those Garmisch mornings with Abbie! Although we don't talk nearly as often as we should, Abbie is one of those friends where we can pick up right where we left off. I am so blessed to have a friend like that!
