It's been several weeks since my last post! Sorry about that! I hope you have had the chance to make those yummy scones from the recipe I shared with you! We have settled nicely into our new apartment and are loving life in the city! I know I mentioned I was going to share some photographs of the new place and some of our favorite establishments around the neighborhood, but I think I will wait until I have the placed all decked out for Christmas and wait for a snowy morning to give you a tour around the 'hood. Speaking of Christmas...
...I'm sure the holidays are on everyone's mind now. Living in Europe, we don't get slammed with Christmas ads, Black Friday Sales and all of the craziness that goes on in November and December. Oh don't get me wrong, they celebrate Christmas here, but it just isn't as commerical as it is in the States (which is a nice change of pace). I do have to admit that I've taken a few steps in the past few weeks to gear up for the 2012 Holiday Season. Here's just a few things I'll share of what's going on:
December Daily:
Like last year, I will be creating a December Daily Album! I ordered the kit created by Ali Edwards back in September or October and it should be here soon! Not sure what "December Daily" is? Check out this link to Ali's blog and read all about it! I loved creating it last year and am looking forward to sharing my pages with you! I hope to be working on my foundation pages soon and when I do, I'll post pics!
Becky Higgins' Holiday Card Design Contest:
Last week, Becky hosted a Design Contest for Holiday Card Templates that will be available for FREE on her blog! Designers were able to submit and her team were going to choose the several for readers to vote for their favorites on Facebook. The winning designs will then be available as free downloads on her blog. Of course I entered, and although my designs did not make the final cut, I really liked them and want to offer them to you as a holiday freebie! Whoot, whoot! So below you will see my two designs:
Design One:
Okay, obviously the photos of my DH and adorable dogs are not included, but I needed to show you that this particular template has 4 areas for different photos! It is a very simple design intended to show off pics of your loved ones! I kept the word art in neutral colors so it would work with any color of pictures you may add. And get this, I have 3 different sizes for you-4x6, 5x7 and 6x7.5 (these were the sizes that were required for the contest)! The files are all in psd format. Click the link below to download.

Design Two:
I love, love, love this photo of my son Dustin and his sweet girlfriend Becca. I took it last December when they were visiting us here in Riga. I think the black and white photo works really well with the red and white word art. This template comes in the same sizes as Design One. Click the link below to download!
