Everyone have a good Week Three? I know I did! My Seafoam Edition arrived from Amazon this week! Whoop, whoop!!! I love everything about this kit-the colors, the font, the simple designs. I love that one side of the title card is horizontal and the other is vertical. I love that the journal cards have a design on the back. I love the box it comes in! It's awesome! I used my Word Art Title Circle for Week Three (you can download them here for free) and sent the title card through my printer to get the date on it!
I experimented a bit this week and added text on photos before printing them out. It's nothing new, I did in quite a bit in 2012, it's just that I haven't tried it yet in 2013. I like it. I plan on doing this a lot. I'm not sure if I want to type my stories out on journaling cards yet. Even though I am not happy with my handwriting, I know it is considered an important part of a family's history, so I guess it will stay!

We went to a hockey game on Friday night. Love this pic of us! It was an Instagram photo and I printed and trimmed it to about a 3.75" square. For some reason I don't like printing my Instagram photos on glossy paper. I used double-sided matte photo paper instead (Staples brand). The boy and girl wood veneer pieces were in one of my Cocoa Daisy monthly subscription kits.
It's been super cold here. Trying to stay warm and cozy!
My favorite thing that happened this week was the above conversation Chris and I had early one morning. Click on the photo above to get a bigger image so you can read the text. I did use the digital version of the journal card, used Helvetica Neue LT font for the journaling on the card and League Gothic for the word art on the photo.
Earlier in the week Chris hosted a luncheon for some of his contacts at work. I made a pound cake for dessert. Believe it or not, it was my first attempt at one and it turned out pretty good! I took a photo of it with a new camera app-Pure Shot. I love it. Just like the name implies, it is purely a camera app-no filters or anything. The interface is great and the user manual is nicely done. Check it out when you get the chance! The label is by October Afternoon and the cardstock the photo is mounted on is Bazzill.
